00:00who runs the trains right now so that's a really good question Dexter because it's quite complicated

00:12most of the trains in England are run by private companies we the government are going to take

00:20control of running those services why are you changing who runs the trains at the moment we

00:26don't think that the service that people get is good enough and so we want trains to be punctual we

00:33want to reduce the number of cancellations we want people to feel comfortable on the trains and I'd

00:39like to get more people using the trains because I think the railways are a fantastic thing what is

00:46the great british railways we're going to take all of the train operating companies the people who are

00:52running the trains on a day-to-day basis and we're going to put them in the same organization

00:56as the people who are running the tracks and the signaling and that will be called great british

01:02railways when will this all happen the trains on southwestern railways are coming into public

01:09ownership this weekend and then there are a lot of other train operating companies across the country

01:15and over the course of the next couple of years we're going to bring those train operating companies

01:21into the control of government so it doesn't all happen at once but in southwestern it's happening

01:27this weekend and what was the best train journey you you went on went to london natural history museum

01:33and did you enjoy the train journey yeah what was the best bit of the train journey would you say

01:37it was just funny because spending time with my family on the journey it's nice isn't it you can be

01:42sociable and if if mum or dad is concentrating on driving then you know perhaps they can't have

01:49as much fun as they could on your day out so that's really good
