00:02You see how thin it is?
00:03This is just one of my husband's old t-shirts,
00:08actually, that I stole from him 20 years ago, probably.
00:12Hey, I'm Jessica Biel, welcome to Montana,
00:15and today I'm going to be sharing
00:17some of my most prized possessions with you.
00:20I guess I'm gonna start with this one first,
00:21probably because it's the oldest item here on the table,
00:24I think, yeah.
00:25This is snuffy, this is my bear when I was born.
00:28There's a picture that my parents have of, you know,
00:32tiny baby me, crib, and snuffy, right there.
00:36I don't remember what happened to this dude's nose or eye.
00:40He's missing also an eye.
00:41I'm sure I ripped it out or bit it off.
00:44This bear is 43 years old.
00:47He brings up just warm and fuzzy kid memories, I guess.
00:50I remember him just being around a lot when I was little,
00:54and my mom threw away my blanket,
00:56so this is like one of the only few things I have left.
00:59Can you imagine?
01:00What's wrong with her?
01:02Next item is this very sketchy-looking honey.
01:05Like, where did this come from?
01:06I know this looks really shady,
01:07but I've loved honey for a very long time,
01:10specifically honey in coffee,
01:12for like 15 years or something.
01:15No sugar, honey is my sweetener,
01:19and this particular honey is from Spain,
01:21which sounds very fancy.
01:22My very, very good friend, her husband is from Spain.
01:25She goes all the time.
01:26They have a home there,
01:27and she brings me back this particular Spanish honey.
01:31She goes to the local farmer's market.
01:33It's, you know, by this lovely old lady
01:36who just sells this honey with no labels, nothing on it.
01:40Literally, I have no idea what it's called.
01:42I don't know where to get it.
01:44This is a very simple lacrosse ball.
01:47It might not technically be lacrosse,
01:48but I feel like when I look for it in sports stores
01:51or online, I type in lacrosse ball.
01:53I carry this with me everywhere.
01:55I put it back there,
01:57and I just do a lot of this,
01:58like weirdly, on an airplane.
02:00I swear, the looks that I get from people sitting next to me
02:03and across the plane,
02:05it looks really weird what I'm doing.
02:07I get it, it's strange,
02:08but I don't know.
02:11I guess I'm just getting older,
02:13and things hurt more,
02:14and this ball goes with me everywhere.
02:17Oh, it feels so good.
02:19What would I call this movement?
02:22This tension-releasing body rock, maybe?
02:27Or old lady muscle rub rock?
02:30Or ouch, my shit hurts now rock?
02:34This item is a very special one to my heart.
02:37This pendant was made by my beloved grandmother on my dad's side.
02:43We called her Beal.
02:44Never grandma, never granny, or something soft and fuzzy,
02:49because she was not soft and fuzzy.
02:51She was tough and kind of mean, and I loved this woman.
02:56She is not with us anymore, but she was an artist.
02:59She was a crafter, she made blankets for everyone.
03:03She lived in Florida for a long time on a golf course.
03:06And she got into this thing where she would find dead frogs, specifically,
03:12and snakes and things, like things that got run over by cars in her neighborhood.
03:16And she would scrape their bodies off the ground.
03:20And she would press them into clay.
03:23And she would send them to us as gifts.
03:26And we called her Roadkill Grandma.
03:28And this is one of her pieces that I have kept forever.
03:32I don't know when she gave this to me.
03:34I mean, it is so god-awful ugly.
03:36I don't know who's wearing this, but I cannot throw it away.
03:39Okay, I guess this one.
03:42So, can you see through this shirt?
03:45You see how thin it is?
03:46This is just one of my husband's old t-shirts, actually, that I stole from him 20 years ago,
03:55probably.
03:56Not that long.
03:57I haven't known him that long.
03:58Have I?
03:59What drew me to this t-shirt, I think initially because it was already old, and it was his.
04:06We spent a lot of time apart, and we definitely spent a lot of time apart when we were younger.
04:11And I think I would always want to just have something of his to travel with, you know,
04:15something that just makes you feel like home, makes you feel connected to that person.
04:18And it smelled like him.
04:21Now it smells like me, which is a bummer.
04:23And it's one of his from, I think from childhood, like middle school.
04:28It's on its last leg.
04:29Do you see that?
04:30Like, you can see through that.
04:33But I love this t-shirt.
04:34It's so soft.
04:35I wear it to bed.
04:37I wear it around.
04:38I wear it out.
04:39I don't care.
04:39I just wear it all the time.
04:40I think having a partner who understands this industry and adjacent industries like
04:46music industry, entertainment industry has been deeply important and profound for my life
04:51and for our partnership because he just understands when I'm working crazy long hours.
04:56And I understand, you know, that for him too.
04:59I get it when he works all night long.
05:02That's kind of normal.
05:03And I kind of know that.
05:04So we are able to support each other throughout strange schedules and time apart
05:11because we know that's just what it takes to make, make this kind of art.
05:17These are my most favorite snack.
05:19One of my most favorite snacks.
05:21And this is a new flavor, actually.
05:22Sea salt and vinegar.
05:24If you're a savory type person or someone who craves salt,
05:27this may be your greatest dream or your worst nightmare.
05:29I'm not sure.
05:30I can take an entire bag down by myself.
05:32And I prefer to do it by myself because I want zero judgment from anybody.
05:36Who does not like sea salt and vinegar?
05:38I don't know anybody in the world that doesn't like that.
05:40If that's a polarizing flavor, this is news to me.
05:43I'm going to do a PSA about sea salt and vinegar because it's the greatest combination of flavors.
05:48Besides honey and coffee, of course.
05:49So this is a tarot deck.
05:53People might think I'm crazy for messing around with tarot, but I think it's really cool.
05:58And it's fun.
06:00It's not too deep.
06:00Don't take it too seriously.
06:02It's something that I like to do with my girlfriends and even my kids pull tarot cards.
06:07If we have questions about things in the morning or we want to set an intention for our day or whatever.
06:12I mean, it's fun.
06:13It doesn't have to be anything other than that.
06:17And this is just one of the decks that I really enjoy reading from.
06:20Is there a specific card that has a personal significance to you?
06:24This is going to sound morbid, but it's not.
06:26Sometimes tarot card decks have a death card and it's never taken literally though, right?
06:32When you get that card, it's often transformation, you know, a death of something and a rebirth of something.
06:39And this is all abstract and spiritual and like, you know, this is not a literal thing.
06:43But I always love that card because it feels like, oh, something is happening.
06:48Something is changing.
06:49I'm putting something to bed and something new is, you know, coming into my life or taking place,
06:54hopefully energetically even.
06:56It doesn't even have to be physically.
06:58So that's a card I like that I think at first glance you might feel concerned about.
07:04But I would never take it like that.
07:06This is a TheraFace de-puffing wand.
07:12This is like modern day hack for actresses, actors who used to,
07:19you know, take a bowl of ice and slam their face in in the 50s.
07:23All you have to do is turn it on.
07:24It can go hot or it can go cold.
07:26You take the cap off and you literally do this kind of swooping movement or wherever
07:33all over your face.
07:34And it is the best tool for early morning call times.
07:38I love this tool.
07:40Okay, these little guys, my son, he was learning about different artists.
07:46And I think this was like something that he did in school,
07:48which we thought was just so cute.
07:50And he did one of each of us.
07:53And it's just such a cool rendering of like that abstract Picasso style art
08:03and his interpretation of all of us.
08:06I mean, come on.
08:07It's so good.
08:08Kids are so creative.
08:10They don't have a filter.
08:11They don't have like an inner judgment to what's good, what isn't good.
08:15They just create.
08:17And I just thought these were so cool.
08:20You know, it's just, it's something easy.
08:21I can slip in my suitcase if I want to take something with me when I'm traveling,
08:25when I'm working, and I can't be with them.
08:27Sometimes I just put them up in my trailer.
08:29And then I have my family and I'm reminded of my lovely kids.
08:33The thing that I think surprised me about being a parent,
08:35or what surprised me about myself,
08:37is maybe that I actually might be the rule enforcer sometimes.
08:43But it's not really my style.
08:46It's not really like what I, I just sort of thought,
08:48Justin is going to be the rule enforcer and that's the way it's going to be.
08:52I'm a Pisces.
08:53I'm more emotional.
08:55I'm more gentle and easy going and you know, whatever.
08:58But I'm kind of good at it.
09:00I kind of like drop a boundary and I'm like, nope, you can't cross it.
09:03And it took a while to learn that, but it's an important skill to have.
09:07And he sometimes can be like really soft about things, which I didn't expect.
09:11We take turns and I think that was surprising to me.
09:16This final item is something actually really close to my heart because
09:20this is the wine company that I am a part of with a small group of partners.
09:25One of them, or two of them actually being my brother and my sister-in-law,
09:30and our other partners, Jesse Katz, who is the winemaker, and also Ari and Chris Jackson,
09:38also winemakers.
09:40Jesse Katz is one of my brother's oldest friends from middle school from Colorado.
09:45So I've known Jesse since he was a scrawny, gangly-limbed like 12-year-old.
09:52He also made wine for my wedding, but he just did that for us and it was much,
09:56much less of like a to-do.
09:57So we did that first and that wine was called Blue Ocean Floor based on a song
10:02that Justin wrote for me.
10:04Also the same song he sang when I walked down the aisle.
10:07Anyway, my brother's getting married.
10:09He says to me, do you want to make some wine for their wedding?
10:13Let's do it.
10:13I said, let's, that would be so fun.
10:15Let's do it.
10:15So Justin and I, my husband, Justin, this is what gets really tricky
10:19because me and Justin and Justin and Jesse.
10:21So Jesse and Justin and Justin and Jesse are making wine.
10:25Does that make sense?
10:26You get it.
10:27He asks my husband, Justin and I to come over and we taste wine and we pick a blend
10:33and then we all vote on a name and we come up with prophet and poet, the name,
10:38because at the time my brother was sort of an amateur writer.
10:42So the poet is sort of the word that is describing him.
10:46And his wife, Rose, is this incredible spiritual shaman, which is very cool.
10:52So she's the prophet.
10:53So prophet and poet, hence the name.
10:56And then literally a year or so ago, Jesse called me and said, hey, do you want to make prophet and
11:01poet into wine that we share with the world, like with people?
11:05And I was like, yeah, why not?
11:07That sounds great.
11:08He goes, cause the story is just so cool.
11:09And we've been making wine together as a small group and it's a, you know, it's really,
11:14this is like a passion project for my family and our really good friends.
