The mission’s isolation and uncertainty weighed heavily. Doubting whether his music would be understood, Sebastian found comfort in classic vinyls. While broadcasting Space disco, he detected a harmonic signal from K2-18b, echoing his own motifs. This sparked a musical exchange with the Melodions, a civilization responding with songs like Earth’s Anthem, woven with Amazonian imagery. Yet, some Melodion signals held cryptic patterns, hinting at deeper motives.
