Transcript
00:00Hello, Councillor David Evans, Mayor of Mombus. Looking back at my year, we're running up to our annual meeting next week and I'll be standing down.
00:13And I look back on the year with a sense of pride, pride in the town, pride in my fellow councillors for all that they've done, but also for the incredible number of people that I've met along the way.
00:25I've literally dined with royalty and we had the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, come to town.
00:32I've held toddlers when I was dressed as a certain gentleman in a red suit.
00:38I've met everyone in between. I've been to Santanina Inn, birthday parties, happy birthday.
00:46It's been a really great year. I've been in and out as many businesses as possible and I've spoken to as many volunteers.
00:54And it's the volunteers at the Life Club of this town, so I want to thank them.
00:58And if I haven't been able to get to your organisation, I apologise for that.
01:02I have tried to get to see as many people as possible.
01:05And I hope that when you see this, you might look and think, yeah, I know that guy.
01:11He's the mayor, or he has been the mayor. Thank you for your support.
01:15Thank you for your support.
