00:00I didn't hear a promise to get unemployment down and that's because he
00:03knows things are going to get worse and this goes wider than businesses. Last
00:08week I met staff and patients at Farley Hospice. They do fantastic work but they
00:14need to find an additional two hundred and fifty thousand pounds to pay the
00:20jobs tax. How does he suggest Farley Hospice, a charity which relies on
00:25donations, pays for his tax hike? Mr Speaker we have provided a hundred
00:32million pounds boosting for the sector and children young person hospitals
00:36received 26 million pounds funding this year but Mr Speaker she turns up every
00:41week to cart from the sidelines but what she doesn't do she moans she moans
00:46about what we had to do in the budget to stabilize the economy but she hasn't got
00:52the courage to stand there and say that she would reverse the next decisions
00:57that we take and I know why it's because she doesn't want to say she's
01:01against the 26 billion pound investment in our NHS she doesn't want to say she's
01:06against the 1.2 billion pound more for our police she doesn't want to say she's
01:10against the 3.2 billion pound more for our schools all the time she doesn't have
01:14the courage of our convictions it shows that our criticism is totally confected
01:19Mr Speaker I can't believe the Prime Minister is still using this figure we
01:25have this very conversation at the dispatch box he knows it is just capital
01:29spending it's either he's not paying attention or he is saying things to
01:32disguise what is going on that money will not pay for the jobs tax he knows
01:37that and the hospices know it too and the other people who know that things are
01:41getting worse are the five leading business groups in the UK they say that
01:46his so-called employment rights bill will be deeply damaging to growth does
01:51the Prime Minister accept that they are right or does he believe that he knows
01:56better than business
01:59Mr Speaker it's the same old Tories every time better rights for workers are on the table they
02:05vote against them respect and dignity and protection at work are good for
02:09workers good for the economy and good for growth
02:14Mr Speaker the Prime Minister needs to listen to business you cannot have
02:18employment rights without employment Labour always forgets that it is not
02:24government that creates growth it is business that creates growth and
02:28businesses are closing and they are blaming him and his Chancellor there are a
02:34hundred thousand fewer jobs Mr Speaker hospices charity charities nurseries they
02:39are facing bills for the jobs tax that they cannot afford even the unions say
02:44workers are being thrown on the scrap heap and all of this before his
02:47unemployment bill makes hiring even more expensive when will he admit that
02:52Labour isn't working
