The Coonabarabran community will come together this evening for a candlelit
00:05
vigil to mark the lives of two young boys who were found dead by police on
00:10
Monday. Today they are being remembered with a candlelit vigil where poems,
00:15
stories and memories of their lives will be talked about. The two boys are also
00:19
being remembered here in town with two trees being planted in their honour. The
00:24
boys are being remembered as close brothers, great friends and active
00:28
participants in their community participating in sports such as karate.
00:32
Cody Brady has organised this evening's vigil. I think it's so important to bring
00:37
community together for that next step in the grief process. You know we're all in
00:44
shock and I think if we have a vigil community sees they're not alone and you
00:49
know we can share this grief together and heal together and move forward through
00:53
that grief process. The 66 year old grandmother of the boys has been taken to
00:58
a mental health facility under police guard. Police are treating the incident as
01:02
an alleged double murder and is expected to face serious charges.
