00:00We have to be very careful in how we approach this. People are at the edge. There's a lot of tension outside there. So we have to treat with that. We have to deal with the mental capacity of our citizens. And to understand when you're introducing laws and legislation like this, it has to be holistically considered.
00:19Hira suggests introducing it on a face basis. He says while protecting your property is important, it is also important to identify under law exactly what your property is.
00:32The legislation, the relaxed processes for acquisition of firearms, that's another one that also surfaced along the same conversation. Those are some stuff that needs to be reviewed in thorough, meticulous detail because we have to understand the narrative and the culture of our country and therefore identifying what is your property, where is your property, how do you defend, how do you stand your ground.
00:56As it relates to the new ministries of justice, defence and homeland security, Hira is hoping to see cooperation in the fight against crime.
01:06The key thing here is coordination. There has to be coordination. So be it Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Homeland Security, Ministry of Justice and even all of the other aspects, they need to come together under one core concern and that has to be coordination, collaboration and coordination.
01:22And I'm hoping that something similar to the NRC is reborn so that there can be that inter-ministerial collaboration in the whole of government approach with regard to national security.
