00:00As soon as we possibly can.
00:01Stuart Anderson, welcome back.
00:04Thank you, Mr Speaker.
00:06Community hospitals can reduce pressure on major hospitals, especially in rural communities like mine.
00:12Will the Secretary of State lay out his plans of how he intends to support community hospitals in South Stropshire?
00:20Well, Mr Speaker, at the heart of this government's approach is investment and reform of the NHS
00:26to make sure we deliver better outcomes for patients.
00:29That means the biggest devolution of power in the history of the NHS, with more decisions taken closer to patients and their communities,
00:37indeed more power in the hands of patients too.
00:39Community hospitals do have a vital role to play, and no doubt, thanks to the decisions taken by this government
00:45to deliver £26 billion more into our NHS, we'll be able to make further and faster progress, opposed by the party opposite.
