Hi everyone, this is a tough video to make but I feel that we have to in order to avoid the
00:15
inevitable. I've been meaning to talk about something that's important and with the local
00:23
council asking for views on what's needed and TT just around the corner and the fair soon arriving
00:29
in town now feels like the right time. We've seen numerous requests on these posts by the council
00:36
for an arcade and a family activity venue. We're here, we're already here, we're in the city centre
00:45
yeah and we're open seven days a week. With TT Lumen the excitement is building and we love it
00:51
too. It's a special time on the island full of energy, visitors and fun but whilst we're gearing
00:59
up for the season we're also feeling the pressure. TT is usually a very quiet time for us here at
01:08
the Matrix Arena. A virtual reality arena complete with driving rigs, consoles, gaming, arcade action
01:17
and our popular flora's lava setup is struggling with falling footfall. We've got 100% glowing reviews
01:24
and everyone who comes through our doors has a great time. It's great to see people return time and time
01:29
again and always awesome to see the faces of those young and old coming in for the first time light up
01:37
with excitement but it's just not enough people often enough to keep things growing strong. We know the
01:47
fair is a big draw and we don't begrudge anyone having a blast or taking advantage of the wonderful weather
01:53
that we're having. Lord knows it's few and far between and rare but here's what we ask. Please don't
02:01
don't forget about us. Money spent with us isn't just a bit of value, in many cases it also stays on
02:09
the island. It supports local jobs, it helps strengthen our economy, it fuels a business that's here year
02:16
round not just for a few weeks. And we're not just asking you to come in, we're asking for your help
02:24
to spread the word. It's constantly surprising after three plus years of trading how many people walk in
02:31
and have never heard of us before despite large scale campaigns. So please share this live, tag
02:38
friends and family, recommend us to anyone looking for something fun, active and affordable especially
02:44
during TT season. Facebook, Google and TripAdvisor reviews are also very very much appreciated. We
02:52
specialize in group bookings for both kids and adults, social and corporate. However if you've got
02:58
ideas, events, group bookings, collabs, school visits, whatever, we'd love to hear them. We're up for
03:05
anything that helps drive footfall back into the city and reminds people that we are here and ready
03:11
to wow. We're proud to be part of this community and proud of the experience that we offer. All we're
03:18
asking is, as you enjoy the excitement of the season, please remember to support local too. If you're going to
03:25
the fair, pop in. Spend £5, £10, 10 tokens for a 10 and we'll probably do that over TT as well.
03:33
Not sure but we will have some great offers on. Thanks for listening and for being part of what
03:40
we feel is a unique and fun venue for kids, families and adult groups alike. One of the things that we get
03:47
is that, you know, sometimes people think we're too busy, it is bank holiday Monday. It is 10 to 4 in the
03:55
afternoon. Okay. And this is what we've got. We're here. We just need you. So yeah, please pop down,
04:14
spread the word. That's all we ask. Help spread the word. If you come down and spend some pennies,
04:20
even better. But please, help spread the word. Let other people know who we are and what we do.
