00:00The latest is that non-citizens on the voter rolls in some states can only be removed
00:05if the non-citizens come forward and certify that they should not be on the rolls because
00:12they are non-citizens.
00:19Good morning, everyone.
00:21Welcome to the Myers Report Fast 15.
00:23It is April 25th, 2025, and it's Friday.
00:29Another one of our forecasts has come true.
00:32Maybe not a happy one, but still it's happening.
00:35On January 29th of this year, we had stated that state and local officials who were resisting
00:43the deportation of illegals would eventually become, they would get arrested.
00:48Yesterday, a New Mexican judge, Joel Cano, and his wife, Nancy Cano, were arrested for
00:56sheltering an illegal alien who was also a member of Tren de Aragua, the gang.
01:05And what are these people thinking?
01:08An elected official sheltering, clearly a bad guy.
01:12Well, they were arrested.
01:14There's more to come.
01:15On a slightly other note of stupidity, the Democrats continue trying to prevent voter rolls from being
01:24cleaned.
01:25The latest is that non-citizens on the voter rolls in some states can only be removed if
01:32the non-citizens come forward and certify that they should not be on the rolls because
01:38they are non-citizens.
01:39What could be more stupid?
01:42Moving on to the weather, Don, I understand that you have something that qualifies in the
01:49United Kingdom.
01:50Well, not only in the United Kingdom, but there's attempts on this side of the pond as well for
01:58some geoengineering projects to where it's really quite remarkable what people are throwing
02:07millions of dollars at.
02:09And the UK government is going to be approving a project that is going to basically try to
02:21alter the stratosphere and the troposphere to do what's called sun dimming, try to make
02:30the atmosphere basically cooler by blocking the sun.
02:36And they have dedicated 50 million pounds to a process that is going to basically allow
02:45the ability to put particulates into the atmosphere, basically pollution.
02:52One second.
02:52Don, I got to ask a question.
02:54Besides the fact that this on the face of it is incredibly stupid and impossible, if they
03:03were to succeed, couldn't they possibly trigger an ice age?
03:08Well, certainly colder weather historically is much, much more damaging by a factor of multiples
03:16than warmer periods in Earth history.
03:20All the major plagues, all the major crop failures all occur during cold periods in human existence.
03:28So, you know, they're playing with fire here because of your point, which is if you're going
03:33to try to block the sun, I mean, on the face of it, it may sound very simple to people, but
03:42this could lead to a series of events that lead to other series of events that cause a lot
03:49of problems.
03:50And what's really interesting about this, you know, for those of you that track the
03:54environment and pollution and that type of thing, sulfur dioxide has been something that
04:01they've been trying to reduce the amount of the atmosphere.
04:04One second.
04:05Sulfur dioxide, the stuff that gave us acid rain in the 60s and 70s?
04:10Yes.
04:11And as the graphic shows here, they want to go into the stratosphere using high altitude.
04:14They want this stuff back?
04:17Yes, because it replicates what comes from volcanic eruptions.
04:22Volcanic eruptions that are strong enough can penetrate the stratosphere and lead to sulfur
04:27dioxide going into the stratosphere, which is a cooling process.
04:32So the major volcanic eruptions that have cooled the Earth is because of sulfur dioxide coming
04:37from volcanoes into the stratosphere.
04:39So now what they're going to say is let's pollute the stratosphere is essentially what
04:43they're saying.
04:44And that will dim the sun, which will make the Earth cooler.
04:48This is the pent-ultimate level of arrogance.
04:53It's outstanding, the level of arrogance that these scientists are showing themselves doing,
05:01and the level of arrogance that the billionaires and the governments are funding.
05:05This also involves spraying sea spray into the air in the lower layers of the atmosphere
05:11to make it cooler.
05:13And there have been other attempts, and there will be future attempts, and they're all being
05:19funded to try to dim the sun.
05:23And this is all for a problem that doesn't exist.
05:27Don, let me just go over this, because, yeah, this is dumber than the points that I just
05:36mentioned.
05:36This is the same acid rain that was destroying buildings, polluting our rivers and our lakes,
05:45destroying wildlife in the lakes and elsewhere that everyone said we had to fix, and then
05:53we proceeded to fix it.
05:55This is the same thing that these people are talking about?
05:58Yeah, this is the same level of arrogance.
06:00You know, it's okay to pollute if it's a noble cause.
06:04Basically, that's the mindset.
06:07And, you know, what I'm also listing here are other things that people are considering
06:12doing.
06:15All of these things, except maybe the forestation one, are completely not even within the realm
06:23of being even conceivable without spending enormous amounts of money.
06:30And again, for a problem that really doesn't exist.
06:35But people need to know where a lot of their money is going, and a lot of their money is
06:42going to research projects like this, which are, you know, and I was a part of, I was asked
06:48to be part of one of these that was going to happen in New Mexico here over the past years
06:53that Harvard was funding.
06:56Harvard.
06:56A great bastion of advanced intelligent thinking.
07:02And I declined to help because I go, I'm not going to help in something I disagree with.
07:08Ultimately, they canceled it or put it on hold because there is a lot of scientists who completely
07:14are against this for very good reasons.
07:17But when the money is being hung out there and you can get very gullible people, you know,
07:22I hate to say this, Bill Gates is probably one of the most gullible people I have ever
07:26witnessed, is throwing a lot of money towards this.
07:30And there's a lot of people in government who probably never took a science class, who are
07:35willing to dole out the money for these things.
07:39What is artificial ocean upwelling?
07:41Uh, basically get this, this is the, they want to go into the oceans and basically move
07:50water by pumping water to different parts of the ocean from lower, uh, you know, lower
07:58ocean depths to the top or back and forth.
08:01So just think about the engineering and the cost to build a pump to move ocean water.
08:07It's ridiculous.
08:08Hold on a second.
08:09Aren't these the exact same folks that were 30, 40 years ago were objecting to mining and
08:17doing stuff on the bottom of the ocean because it would disturb the bottom sediment and mess
08:24up the ecosystem down there?
08:26It all goes back to the pollution thing.
08:28If they believe they are standing on higher moral ground and that gives them the green
08:32light to do these things.
08:33And they were concerned that among other things, the great barrier reef and other
08:38structures like that would be destroyed.
08:41Now they want to do this and destroy all these things?
08:43Yeah, they want to, they want to control the sun and the weather.
08:45And again, the, the level of arrogance is, uh, just, I mean, it makes me breathless.
08:53Well, if there's enough acid in the, in the air, you will be breathless.
08:57Uh, in the meantime, how's the weather been, uh, around the country?
09:02Well, the last week has been a little more tame, not as much severe weather, uh, though
09:07we're entering into the month of May.
09:09And, uh, while I don't see a lot of weather to talk about this week, as we get into the
09:13first couple of weeks of May, do expect to hear about tornadoes and severe weather again.
09:17How was the wet?
09:18How was this winter for say the, the Northeast?
09:21Well, Northeast had one of their colder winters since 2015, 2015 was the coldest winter since
09:291895.
09:30And this one didn't beat it, but it was pretty close.
09:33You know, they're still getting snow in parts of New England here over the last week.
09:37So it's been a very cold spring and a very cold winter in the Northeast U.S.
09:41Okay, Carlos, welcome to the Fast 15.
09:45Carlos is a member of our group and he is, well, people just love him because of his
09:52knowledge of, uh, finance throughout the world, but in particular with, uh, Latin and South
09:58America.
09:59Carlos, after hearing this stupidity, obviously the economic word of the day is tariffs.
10:05How are President Trump's efforts playing out in, uh, Latin America and South America?
10:12I'm going to put them in three buckets.
10:15Um, you have the countries that produce, um, products that, um, in a way compete with
10:26the U.S., uh, primarily agricultural products.
10:31Um, those have really benefited from the retaliatory tariffs because like the soybean producers like
10:39Argentina, Paraguay, in Brazil, um, they've been the replacement source of soybeans and
10:46a lot of those agricultural products.
10:47So, um, so we're, we're seeing, um, somewhat of a divergence.
10:52Um, the, though, I think the one that's, um, uh, mostly impacted just because of its being
11:02tied to the hip to the U.S. is Mexico, um, it's, uh, Mexico's tariffs are, um, somewhat
11:12complicated because it's now, um, if the products considered, um, subject to the USMCA, uh, it's
11:22exempt from, from, um, tariffs.
11:25But if it isn't, um, it's 25%.
11:28It's not 10%.
11:29How are we getting along with Mexico?
11:32How's, uh, President Scheinbaum doing with President Trump?
11:35Well, that's been the biggest surprise.
11:38Um, the, um, uh, Scheinbaum's party is, the leftist party is the one from, um, Amro, uh,
11:48her predecessor and mentor.
11:49And, um, so normally the expectation would have been, you know, um, kind of a, you know,
11:56bad relationship because of, of the ideological differences.
12:01But that's what's been the biggest surprise that they've been surprisingly cordial, even
12:07though these differences, um, they, they communicate.
12:11And in a way, if you compare how Mexico has been treated versus Canada, it's been much
12:17harsher towards Canada than Mexico.
12:19And that's something that would, um, that not a lot of people saw coming.
12:24And the explanation is most linked to internal politics that within Morena, which is the party
12:34of Scheinbaum, there are factions and you have the faction that is loyal to Amro, her predecessor.
12:45And in a way, they were the ones who were in control.
12:50They were in control of the Senate and control of Congress, many of the governorships, they
12:56were all loyal to Amro.
12:58So she did not have a lot of power.
13:01Um, and she was in a way kind of considered a, a puppet of Amro.
13:06And, and I think, uh, very intelligently, Scheinbaum has used the threat of Trump to distance
13:14herself from Amro.
13:15And I think the biggest thing is the, um, uh, the extradition of 29, um, drug lords that
13:22in a way she skipped the extradition process and just put them on pin and send them to
13:27the U.S.
13:28Um, that, um, that it was very clear that Amro was protecting them during his, um, administration.
13:35So we're starting to see gentle distancing.
13:40So she, you know, asserting her own power, um, by using the threat of Trump and that's
13:48where, like, that's how she's, she's using Trump as a cover to get things done that she
13:53wants to get done.
13:54Correct.
13:55To, to, in a way, assert her own power, you know, to the diminishment of, of Amro.
14:01So that's really, you know, politics do make strange bedfellows, but that's, that's kind
14:06of what's going on.
14:06However, the economy still, um.
14:09One second.
14:10Is it fair to say that their love-hate relationship could be somewhat akin to a sadomasochistic
14:18relationship where the two parties are finding in their strife a place to get joy, comfort,
14:27and satisfaction?
14:28That's kind of, it was, oh, it hurts so good, you know, but.
14:35How's it looking?
14:37What?
14:38How's it?
14:39Let me ask you something here.
14:41Uh, is Trump going to run the table on tariffs?
14:45Is he going to get what he wants so that the tariff issue will not be an issue?
14:49We don't think so.
14:50We, we are, our, our main, our main scenario is, um, something that, uh, I think they're
15:02kind of looking for a way out.
15:04The, uh, every time there's something that is softening on the tariffs.
15:08What do you mean?
15:08Who's they that are looking for a way out?
15:10Trump?
15:10I think that the Trump administration, because it's, it's the, every time that there's something
15:15softening on the tariff position, market rallies and anything that becomes harsher, it market
15:22sells off.
15:23So that signal, see, even though, you know, Trump said, oh, I don't care about the markets.
15:29I think is now his reaction specifically to the bond market.
15:33He is, um, he is, uh, responding to those signals.
15:39And so I think at the end of the day, um, the change will not be as, as dramatic as it
15:49was originally.
15:50Will there be change?
15:51Yes.
15:52Uh, are things that are irreversible?
15:55Yes.
15:56Okay.
15:56Are you generally, are you optimistic about the future for the United States?
16:04I'm always optimistic about the long-term of the United States.
16:08It's, it's the, the question is call on.
16:12And, and so right now, our, our scenario is that the economy does go into recession.
16:19That even at the base, 10%, assuming, let's assume that, um, that China and the U.S.
16:29uh, agree and they take, because what I, right now, those are, those levels of tariffs are,
16:35are equivalent to blockade.
16:37Yeah.
16:38We're going to know, we're going to know more later on today.
16:41Our friends, Keith is checking.
16:43They're not going to go to zero.
16:45They're not going to go to zero.
16:46So even if we take a 10% baseline going forward, let's say for the next 12 months, even if they
16:53go further down, down the road, that's enough to push it into recession.
16:56So that's why we, we do believe that you're going to see, you know, spike up, up in, of inflation
17:03and then a, a contraction in demand and, and down.
17:09So the question is how long is the, the recovery going to take place?
17:14And, and I think though, the quicker trade normalizes, um, the quicker it could recover.
17:21But it's, um, yeah, go ahead.
17:24That's, that's kind of how we see it.
17:26So we continue to see choppy market.
17:28We're, we're not calling the all clear.
17:30Um, we still think that the market may retest the 4,800 level on the SMP, um, on some unknown
17:38event.
17:38But if it does test it, I think that's an interesting entry point.
17:44Don, from what you see on the political and general stupidity of what's going on, are you
17:51optimistic or pessimistic as to how we're going to do?
17:55Oh, I'm, uh, like Carlos, I'm, I'm, I'm always a half glass full kind of guy and, and I am
18:01optimistic and it's choppy.
18:03It's choppy right now.
18:04And I think, uh, all indications suggest that it's going to be like that as well.
18:09I know.
18:09And I think we need to pay attention to the world stage.
18:11I mean, this India, Pakistan thing is a little concerning.
18:15Um, and, uh, we still don't have the, the Russia, Ukraine deal all done yet.
18:20So, you know, black swan events are my biggest concern.
18:25The black swan events.
18:26We thought, uh, as we said in our earlier forecast that the black swan was going to be the bird
18:32of the year, but 2025.
18:34And so it is with that.
18:37I want to say thank you to everybody.
18:38We will speak with you later.
18:40Have a great weekend.
18:41Be safe.
18:43Um, and God bless America.
19:13Um, and God bless America.
