We review Aalappeaz Derby the city's newest restaurant serving South Indian food

00:00So I met Alipiz on St Peter's Churchyard and this is a new Venice of the East restaurant.

00:07It's a South Indian restaurant that opened earlier this month.

00:11So they serve South Indian food and they also do teas and coffees.

00:17There's a cute alfresco dining area outside.

00:21So some of the starters I had included the Alipiz special, chicken alipop and yoghurt chart bombs.

00:27This is a quick walkthrough of the restaurant.

00:31There is some really cute artwork on the wall.

00:34I think it's hand-painted.

00:35On the mural it says Venice, the Venice of the East.

00:40And it's a really lovely, quick place to be.

00:43I love the lighting and there's a bar area towards the back.

00:47What I love about the place is actually, apart from the fancy artwork, is towards the back.

00:53They have a lovely sink feature which has a giant spoon and a giant knife.
