00:00Hello there, a very good morning to you. We'll be experiencing an early dose of summer this
00:05week with temperatures set to be on the rise. We can see from these charts just for the
00:09next couple of days where these dark shades of red really set themselves in, indicating
00:14that temperatures could be 9, 10 degrees above average for this point in late April. It's
00:21all courtesy of an area of high pressure that's building its way in from the continent, helping
00:26to keep things settled, but also routing some warm air in play across most areas of the
00:30UK. We do just have this cold front across the far north of Scotland first thing this
00:35morning, so it is quite damp here. Outbacks of rain for the Highlands, parts of the Outer
00:38Hebrides, eventually over towards Orkney as well. Reasonably breezy across the north as
00:43well. Elsewhere though, there'll be plentiful amounts of sunshine developing, particularly
00:47across England and Wales once any early mist and fog does lift its way off. Skies brightening
00:52into the afternoon, particularly for Northern Ireland, central, southern Scotland as well.
00:56Temperatures generally ranging between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius, so already starting to
01:01see things warm up. Our band of rain in the north will slowly continue its journey into
01:07this evening and overnight, eventually heading towards Shetland for early hours of Tuesday
01:12morning. Elsewhere though, it's a fine evening to come and staying dry. Again, there'll be
01:16some mist and fog patches developing in places. Temperatures in some rural spots may drop down
01:21to around mid or low single figures, but most of us should see those values holding up generally
01:26around 8 to 10 degrees Celsius, so not too chilly of a start to the morning. And that leads us
01:33into quite a fine, pleasant day overall. Plentiful amounts of sunshine in there once again. It
01:39will be a little bit breezy down towards the far southwest as well as into the far north where
01:43it's always going to be that touch cloudier. Some patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle for the
01:47northern isles at times. But for many of us, it really is going to be quite a wonderful day out
01:52there. And those temperatures really responding to that increasing amounts of sunshine. More widely
01:57cracking the 20 degrees Celsius threshold now, even across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland.
02:01Mid-20s fairly widely in there for England and Wales, perhaps squeezing 25 to 26 degrees Celsius.
02:08Again, noting just how high those are compared to the average temperatures for this point in late
02:14April. We do need to be aware, though, that with this sunshine, the plants are going to be in bloom,
02:20and so there is going to be high, if not very high, levels of pollen around during the next few days.
02:26It's tree pollen out at the moment, particularly oak pollen, so if you are susceptible to that,
02:31do be aware when you're heading outside. These fine conditions will be continuing into Wednesday,
02:36Thursday, with some signs of a slight change as we head towards the end of the week. But you can find
02:41further updates of what we'll be heading our way during our full week ahead forecast that will be
02:46posted on YouTube later on today. So do subscribe so you know when that is around. And we'll see you
02:52again soon. Bye-bye.
