Sana from Meerut, who married Pakistani citizen Dr. Tahir five years ago, was sent back from the Attari border by Pakistani soldiers.

Sana had visited her maternal home with her two children on a 45-day visa. At the border, Pakistani soldiers reportedly said, "You are Indian, the children are Pakistani." As Pakistani citizenship is granted after nine years of marriage, Sana and her children were denied entry and returned to Meerut.

Sana has appealed to the government for help.
