00:00in the cornerback out of Florida State, goes 73rd overall to the New York Jets.

00:05That's Azariah Thomas, who makes his way now to New York.

00:09He was a physical corner for Florida State throughout his collegiate career.

00:14Azariah Thomas now headed to Forum Park to be a part of Gang Green.

00:19The Denver Broncos have that next selection up at 74th overall.

00:25As we focus on the New York Jets, of course, a new regime now under Aaron Glenn,

00:29and with new GM Darren Mougie.

00:32Of course, their first pick last night in the opening round, Armand Membu,

00:36in the offseason acquisition of Justin Fields at the quarterback spot.

00:40Guys, a lot of optimism, of course, in the two-year Aaron Rodgers' tenure

00:44for this New York Jets side that they never were able to actualize.

00:49It is a new organization, a new franchise trying to snap the longest postseason drought

00:54in the National Football League.

00:56In 14 consecutive years, the Jets have missed out on the playoffs,

01:00and in half of those 14 campaigns, five wins or fewer,

01:04like we saw for the Jets just a season ago.

01:08I'm not sure they snapped that playoff skid this year, Blue,

01:11but can they start to turn the momentum for Gang Green moving forward?

01:15That will be the task for Aaron Glenn in his first year as head coach.

01:18Coach, you know, you have to take all this with a grain of salt,

01:22but there were some comments recently by Aaron Rodgers,

01:26potential Steelers quarterback, potential retiree, Aaron Rodgers,

01:30about the way that the Jets dealt with him when he flew cross-country

01:35in order to have a sit-down meeting about his future with the Jets.

01:39And from his perspective, his words only, it was painfully awkward the way he was dealt with.

01:47What worries me generally about the NFL, certain teams in the NFL,

01:51is not that, ah, man, they reached for Zach Wilson or this other team reached for another guy.

01:57It's that, you know, I think whoever you brought in was probably going to suck

02:00because you're not running the organization properly.

02:02And I have concerns about the new regime and whether or not they can get it done in New York.

02:08I have a lot of respect for Aaron Glenn.

02:10He was a great player.

02:11He played in New York.

02:12I hope he can handle it.

02:13But that concerns me if that's the way he dealt with a player

02:16that technically was not off the team yet.
