In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we reflect on the many gifts of the spirit that we can be given which are to be used in service to God."I often give thanks for people, including the maker of our banners, thinking about their God given gifts, and I often wonder what amazing gifts God has waiting for people for all who ask for them."In the Bible, the book of Exodus says, the Lord spoke to Moses. See, I have called by name Bezalel of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with divine spirit, which is God's Spirit. "Filled him with ability, intelligence, and knowledge of every kind of craft. To devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver and bronze, in cutting stones, for setting and in carving wood every kind of craft."

00:04Hi, I'm Brenda from St Francis Parish Church in Ingleby Barwick.
00:11For weeks I've been keeping a secret and on Easter Sunday was the big reveal.
00:18My congregation walked into church to a surprise.
00:22Hanging either side of the altar are two huge new banners
00:26that have taken a lady over 18 months to stitch.
00:31These are special banners for Easter.
00:34The one on the left displays Easter Day with the tomb and the stone rolled away.
00:40And the one on the right is the story of Pentecost
00:43where the Holy Spirit descends on the people
00:46and appears like tongues of fire on top of their heads.
00:52In the Bible, the book of Exodus says,
00:56The Lord spoke to Moses,
00:57See, I have called by name Bezalel of the tribe of Judah,
01:02and I have filled him with divine spirit, which is God's spirit,
01:07filled him with ability, intelligence and knowledge of every kind of craft
01:12to devise artistic designs,
01:15to work in gold, silver and bronze,
01:18in cutting stones for setting and in carving wood,
01:23every kind of craft.
01:26When we are filled with the Holy Spirit,
01:28there are many gifts of the Spirit that we can be given,
01:32which are to be used in service to God.
01:35I often give thanks for people,
01:38including the maker of our banners,
01:41thinking about their God-given gifts.
01:43And I often wonder what amazing gifts God has waiting for people,
01:49for all who ask for them.
01:51Amen.
