00:00maybe you want to consider the shortest commercial flight in the world really yes how long would you
00:10guys think the shortest commercial flight in the world is i'm gonna say uh because i've been on
00:17some super short ones 20 minutes i'm gonna say um six minutes okay anybody else that's that's
00:24probably a good guess the shortest one i ever did was philly to jfk and it was part of uh an
00:29international flight so we started in philly went to jfk picked up a whole bunch more people and then
00:33went from jfk on and how long was that that was like 20 yeah i've done that flight before yeah we
00:38stayed on the same plane it was a 747 and most of the passengers right up was were in new york but
00:42that was just our flight that's what annabelle does yes uh anybody else shortest short i have no guess
00:47all right no guess you have no guess i think it's got to be about because by the time you take off
00:52and you land like i'm gonna say 15 minutes okay shortest flight in the world is 90 seconds
00:5890 seconds come on stop it tucked away in the northern isles of scotland scottish regional
01:05airline loganair uh operates the 1.7 mile flight between islands westray and papa westray while the
01:15flight is scheduled for 90 seconds typically it runs closer to 60 seconds there you go with the
01:20trade winds so i guess it's either that or a um a ferry or maybe they don't have a ferry on that
01:27particular side of the island um it's just like how high is the plane getting it's essentially you
01:33know for the the people who live there but it's a it's a legitimate uh flight that is that is
01:40necessary they carry teachers and students and uh visiting 10 seconds we're gonna turn off the
01:45seat belt sign you can walk around the cabin then in 15 seconds after that i'll put it back on
01:51ask you to return to your seat
01:53uh tourists and welcome aboard flight 414 thank you for flying
02:01and island residents traveling to and from mainland orkney uh for a range of appointments
02:10uh i would have stewardess is gonna turn on the hose and begin in-flight beverage service
02:15open your mouth
02:17if i regularly did that flight i would have to try and hold my breath for the uh the duration
02:25yeah yeah it's kind of like when i whenever i go through the lehigh tunnel i'm like i gotta hold
02:31my breath you know what next time you do that sing the last line of happy birthday and see if you can
02:35hold it the whole way through
