00:00All right, what is this about no girls allowed?
00:04I know, right?
00:06You know what?
00:06I mentioned that early on, and we all had like a cautious conversation
00:10because we never wanted to mention that the girls didn't play
00:13because we felt like it was red flagging it for the audience,
00:16but equally it's based on a true story.
00:18So ultimately, the guys are the ones playing.
00:21Now in the true story, the women have busy lives.
00:24They don't necessarily want to play, but in this structure, in the film,
00:28it does feel as if sometimes we're in the scenes,
00:32but we're not actually partaking.
00:33So it was walking that fine line of making us, as our characters are,
00:37the biggest cheerleaders and the real women are of the game
00:40and supporting our husbands for equally playing a role in it,
00:43particularly Leslie.
00:44But I also think that it's also a great, it's kind of a red herring,
00:49or like something, is that the right word?
00:51That is the right word.
00:52Right, like it's a red herring, like no girls allowed,
00:54but in truth, the girls kind of are the best players.
00:57Exactly.
00:58So it's, do you know what I mean?
00:59So it's like you think it's something,
01:01and then we kind of show the guys like,
01:03actually, you guys, you don't know how to play the game directly.
01:07We know how to do it.
01:08Because I feel like nobody's more passionate about the game,
01:10to be honest, than her,
01:14and then my character's like psychological warfare.
01:18I know, you guys went to like the nth degree.
01:20Give 110%, especially with, you know.
01:23I mean, yeah, I can't talk about it, but it's good, right?
01:26You're like, oh, well played.
01:29Well played.
01:30Was there any games when you guys were little
01:32that you were just like, no boys allowed,
01:34not allowed to play at all?
01:35Oh, yes.
01:36I, I, when we were little, little, definitely,
01:39when boys sort of, we thought they had germs.
01:41Don't you remember around first grade?
01:43First grade, I didn't want to play with boys.
01:44I come from a lot of brothers,
01:46and we, and I have stepbrothers.
01:47Oh, that's why.
01:47And so I, when I used to go to school,
01:50we used to want to do our own thing.
01:52We used to play horses.
01:52We would pretend to be horses and jump over things,
01:54and we did not want the boys to come in.
01:56Wait one second.
01:57You pretend you're a horse?
01:58Yeah, and you just jump over things.
02:00What would you jump over?
02:01I need, like...
02:01Like logs in the...
02:02Would you be on all fours,
02:04and then, like, pony leap?
02:06No, no, no, no.
02:06You would do a dressage,
02:07like a little dressage course in the sand.
02:11But I definitely went to a stage.
02:12This is only in Australia.
02:12I did not want boys to play with me
02:14until, I think, about the fourth grade.
02:17I, where I grew up in the country,
02:19it was so rural that you had to, like,
02:22whoever could show up,
02:24and whoever's parent would drop you off.
02:26So I grew up with a bunch of boys.
02:27So I played baseball.
02:29I didn't, like, my mother made them
02:31let me on the boys' baseball team.
02:33So I played baseball.
02:35She was, like, trotted up there.
02:36And I remember the coach was like,
02:38I'm sorry, ma'am.
02:39She's a girl.
02:40She can't play this boys' game.
02:41And my mother, like, came up,
02:43and it was like,
02:44she was like Julia Roberts in that,
02:46Aaron Brockovich.
02:47She was like, what?
02:48And under this law,
02:49she is going to play this game.
02:51And so all of a sudden,
02:52I'm in an Astros jersey
02:53playing baseball terribly,
02:55but doing it.
02:56Yeah.
02:57That was my mother.
02:58Yeah, she's like Aaron Brockovich.
02:59I want to meet your mother.
03:01That's incredible.
03:02But yeah, no.
03:03That's a great story.
03:04Yeah, so I played,
03:06I've been playing, like,
03:07you know,
03:08every play,
03:08it was like all of our,
03:09all my girlfriends,
03:10we played,
03:11we did play one game we did.
03:12We would reenact Charlie's Angels,
03:14my two best girlfriends.
03:14Oh, yeah.
03:15That's hard to do with.
03:16By yourself.
03:18It's hard to do.
03:19Though with boys,
03:20I was thinking.
03:20Yeah, that's why.
03:21You're Charlie's Angels.
03:22Yeah.
03:22You have to be Bosley
03:23and you have to, like,
03:24you have to take
03:25a lot of phone calls
03:26and not really have much.
03:28Yes.
03:29Well, thank you both
03:30so much for your time.
03:31Your makeup looks amazing.
