All right, we have Lindsay on the phone today who is recognizing her daughter, McKenzie, for First Responder Friday.

I'm doing great. So tell me about McKenzie. How does she serve as a first responder?

Well, she just graduated Wednesday, and also she works at Lakeland Regional Emergency Room.

She just graduated as a registered nurse.

It's always been her calling.

That's just always something she wanted to do from the first occurrence back when she was in high school

because she had asthma attacks and that she wanted to change lives.

And a nurse is the first one that a patient sees practically that's with them the whole time.

Well, this is great. And so where did she graduate from?

Polk State College.

And this just happened Wednesday. We've got to give it up.

Class of 23. I love that.

So you said, you know, back in high school, she knew she wanted to do this, huh?

Yes. She just said, Mom, you know what? That's my call.

And one day I'm going to become a nurse because I'm going to understand the terminology,

and I'm going to change lives.

And she's excelling at Lakeland Regional.

And she couldn't be in a better spot as of today, I would say.
