00:00Hi, it's DHA's Rockin' Rough, and I am Terri Carr. I'm here with my good friend Sonny

00:07Knoll from the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter. We do this every year. We call it Merry Pitness.

00:12It's a chance for us to kind of showcase the bigger breeds, and while there's not technically

00:18a pit bull, our bully breeds really need some help, especially those as nice as Charlie. Charlie

00:25is just the sweetest. Sonny says he's such a good dog in the kennel, which breaks my heart. She says

00:32he just sits there kind of just grateful that he's in a warm place with people who are taking care of

00:37him, son. Especially from, you know, where he came from. He was found chained up to a fence. He was

00:44emaciated, so he had a rough start, but he really is a happy, quiet. He's gentle. He is a little

00:52bigger and strong, but he is very gentle and sweet. He's just such a nice boy. Good with other

00:58dogs, too. Wow, that's awesome. See, what you don't see, what I'm seeing, too, is he has a lot of little

01:03scars. I see his little scars on his ears, and he had some, you said he had some skin things that

01:10probably was just basically the results of life on the street for this guy. Yep, and we are looking to

01:18get him a home for the holiday. Yeah, absolutely. He's a lovely, lovely dog. He's very toy motivated.

01:25He loves a good treat, but he really, really, really loves his toys. He was doing anything and

01:32everything for Sonny, just for the chance to play with his toy, which is really cool. I like them toy

01:36motivated a little more than treat motivated, because you don't have to just keep plying them

01:40with food. Charlie's a great dog. We're having a great time with him here. He's so awesome, as we say.

01:58Regional Animal Shelter. Charlie is the sweetest bully boy who would love a family of his own for

02:05the holidays. Charlie was found in bad shape on the streets of Patterson, abandoned and alone,

02:11but he made a great turnaround and is the epitome of grateful and loving. Charlie is described by

02:17shelter volunteers as an angel in his kennel, just grateful for a warm bed and a nice meal.

02:24Charlie is two years old, super friendly with a tail that doesn't stop wagging, dog friendly,

02:29loves to play with toys, and is nice and cuddly, too. He's a very loving dog. Charlie is one of our WDHA

02:36favorite holiday hounds ever. Mary Pitmas, let's get Charlie home for the holidays. Adopt Charlie.

02:43How great is he, right? So cute, so sweet. Some were thinking he's about probably like two-ish.

02:48Probably around two to three. It was hard to tell because of the condition that he was in,

02:53but now that he's looking better, we can see that he's a nice, healthy young boy.

02:57He is just a sweet guy. Energy, if you want a walking partner and a running partner and somebody

03:05to hang with you, but as you can see, he's very, very cuddly as well. If people want information on

03:12adopting Charlie, foster to adopt is always great, and Randolph is great at doing that as well.

03:18So, son, if people want information, they can just stop by. Give us the 411 here.

03:22You can stop by the shelter Monday through Friday. We're there pretty much from 8 to 1,

04:42holiday hat. I'm not really sure. But as always, we are reminding you to opt to adopt. The stocking
