03:39these diesel fumes uh showed lower functional connectivity in their brains meaning they couldn't think as

03:45clearly because different parts of their brain just weren't communicating well sure yeah because it's poisoned

03:51doctors used to think air pollution didn't affect our brains very much at least not right away

03:59but authors of the study say it clearly does and it actually happens very quickly two hours of

04:06sitting in traffic could have a noticeable effect on brain power short term and it may cause ongoing

04:12issues if you're exposed to fumes every single day i've been in traffic before where it's like you

04:19know obviously that you don't there's nothing but then every once in a while it'll be like just the wrong

04:24truck in front of you and it just blasts like right into wherever your air intake is in your car and

04:30you're not thinking about it and then you're like wow i know that this whole car is full and there's

04:36no real escape because you're you put the windows down the second i smell diesel fumes i hit that

04:40recirculate oh yeah because i told us i shut i shut down the outside intake yeah it's a nice little

04:47trick they've taught us yeah anytime there's an unpleasant smell recirculate yeah that's what you do

04:54and then you won't be dumb but also don't volunteer to do studies like that people it's all though

05:02it's the money i don't know how much they have to take like 50 bucks they don't give a lot of money

05:07on these studies they don't 50 bucks is fast they really don't pay good money you've ever seen some

05:15of like the forms they send out for this like it can be like 25 50 100 bucks like it's not yeah

05:23like i always thought what it was is they would just like advertise this on like a college campus

05:27or something like that where like the kids need the dough and they're like oh no you'd be surprised

05:33i think there's like a circuit of people that go just that's how they make that's how they make

05:36their money right and go study to study i've done everything yeah inject it in my testicle go ahead
