00:43I thought it was a bonfire and got a little closer and there was smoke or fire coming out of the ceiling.

00:54became the day they saved a mother and her adult son from a burning house.
00:58It was all caught on home surveillance video in Livonia.
01:02The front door didn't open, so we ran around back and opened it up,
01:05and they were both standing right there yelling and saying my house is on fire.
01:09We saw flames through the windows of the garage and flames coming out of where the shingles meet.
01:17As smoke billowed from the home on Ellen, the teenagers calmly rescued the older man first.
01:23Ethan Morche went to get his mother.
01:25We thought he lost him in the house.
01:27Like, what if he didn't get out smoking his lungs?
01:30So when he came out, it was a big relief.
01:32We just thought it was the right thing to do, get him out.
01:33This will be quite the story for these young men to tell when they return to school next week.
01:37As for the cause of this fire, it remains under investigation.
