00:13The biggest giant to fall was perhaps Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, a PKR vice president who

00:23Nik Nazmi, who plans to appeal, lost to actor-comedian Aflin Shaouki,

00:28who had joined PKR only about four years ago.

00:33Other heavyweights who suffered defeats included

00:35Aqmal Nasir in Johor Bahru, Adam Adli in Hangtoa Jaya,

00:40Rodzia Ismail in Sha'alam, Bhaktia Warnchik in Balikpulau,

00:46Rizal Jamin in Lipis, R. Yunuswaran in Tobrau, and P. Prabhakaran in Batu.

00:53Analysts had said the defeats of high-profile figures

00:56signaled grassroots dissatisfaction with their performance in Butra Jaya
