00:01PKR Deputy President Rafi Z. Romney today said he took leave from his ministerial duties last month
00:07to focus on resolving issues arising from the party's ongoing elections.
00:12In a statement, he said he was prompted to act on the claims after over 90 objections were lodged nationwide,
00:18including cases where candidates won divisional chief posts, while those aligned to them lost out.
00:24He added that he applied for and was granted leave by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim from April 29th to May 5th.
00:32During his leave, Rafi Z said he held a series of meetings and presented key concerns to the party's central leadership council.
00:41He said the council subsequently agreed to conduct an independent audit of PKR's digital voting system
00:46to ensure that it was free from interference and technical flaws.
00:51Rafi Z added that the separation of party and ministerial duties was a culture that should be encouraged.
