GE2025: 'Our work is far from done': PAP’s Henry Kwek to defend Kebun Baru SMC

Henry Kwek of the People's Action Party will contest single-seat ward of Kebun Baru again.  The 48-year-old holds several positions, including Chief Officer of Foodtraco Supplies, a Singapore based trading, investment, and consulting firm. He has previously held roles at the Economic Development Board, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and OCBC Bank.

00:00It's an honour to be fielded back to Koen Baru SMC.

00:08I'll start off by thanking our people for putting their trust in my team and me.

00:14We've built a better home, brick by brick, heart by heart.

00:19We've transformed Koen Baru in the last decade into a lush and beautiful home.

00:24And as part of the wider Amokyo family, our plans will be laid out in our manifesto,

00:29to share after nomination day.

00:31But we are not done building Koen Baru.

00:34Our besties are ahead of us.

00:37And let me share with you three priorities shaped by the hopes, concerns and dreams of our people

00:43if we are given the chance by the people again.

00:46First, managing cost of living.

00:49The second part is healthy longevity.

00:52And our final priority is to prepare our people for a changed world.

00:56The role of an MP must be to listen closely with the workers, the business owners, the parents.

01:02Their lived experience must shape compassionate, practical policy.

01:07Together, these efforts prepare us for our future.

01:11And the future for us begins here in Koen Baru, where families thrive, where seniors age with purpose and dignity.

01:19And as where we built a home that holds the dream of our children.
