Your mid-April allergy forecast

Tree pollen is covering cars in parts of the Southeast, so what can you expect in the days to come?

00:00you've walked outside in the southern US recently you might have seen scenes like this trying to

00:05wash away the pollen or maybe some rain making it go down the gutter signs of spring spring is here

00:12but that also means allergy season is here so let's talk about what to expect in a few areas

00:18for the next couple of days Duluth Georgia that's where we just had that video from not that long

00:23ago now as we look ahead to the next few days tree pollen that is going to be the main issue so if

00:29that is one of your allergies make sure you have the allergy medicine you're stocked up you're ready

00:34to go maybe it's really causing a problem maybe limit time outside but the other thing we got to

00:38keep an eye on is the dust and dander because it gets to the high category here in the orange Wednesday

00:44and Thursday ragweed grass pollen those are both in the moderate category so not too bad but you know

00:51you might start to notice some issues if those are some of your problem pollens take a look at another

00:57location we've seen a lot of pollen issues into places like North Carolina as well you're seeing

01:02video from Concord now with pollen all over the parking lot we've seen it covering cars as we look

01:07into Raleigh tree pollen that's the main issue there as well they are also into the high category and then

01:13dust and dander they get into that high category by the time we get to Thursday as well we get to

01:19moderate for Wednesday but everything else not really a problem at this point and it's not just the

01:24southern U.S. where we're seeing the problems with the allergies and all of that pollen taking a look

01:29at Des Moines Iowa now tree pollen is the issue there as well we're in the high category Tuesday

01:34Wednesday and Thursday ragweed mold and grass all not really an issue yet ragweed especially is more of a

01:42a fall pollen but dust and dander in the high category Tuesday then we go down to moderate by the time

01:48we get to Wednesday
