From rain and wind in the West to lingering snow in the Northeast, here's a breakdown of where the weather could affect travel plans on Dec. 7.

00:05 US flight cancellation forecast.

00:06 You're not going to find it at any

00:08 other outlet and it really tells you

00:10 what days to travel and which ones

00:12 you could have some issues and over

00:14 the next five days look what happens.

00:15 This weekend we've got a big storm

00:17 impacting millions on the eastern

00:19 third of the nation.

00:20 There'll be severe thunderstorms

00:21 in East Texas.

00:22 There'll be possibly snow in Chicago,

00:24 not to mention very strong winds

00:25 for a lot of folks for the last

00:28 half of the weekend, including Pittsburgh,

00:30 New York City, Buffalo.

00:31 So a lot going on this weekend,

00:33 but let's talk about Thursday's travel

00:35 because you might have something

00:37 planned for tomorrow.

00:38 New York City, Philadelphia,

00:39 Scranton PA.

00:40 We mentioned it earlier.

00:41 Could see some morning snow showers.

00:43 Those are sneaky.

00:43 Those ones that aren't going to accumulate,

00:46 but they can give you low visibility.

00:48 Just be careful there.

00:49 Denver will be windy,

00:50 especially up into the mountains

00:52 where we have high wind warnings.

00:53 Not so much down there in the

00:56 elevation of Denver gusts could

00:57 be about 20 miles an hour,

00:59 but up into the mountains the gusts

01:01 could be well over 50 if you're

01:03 driving and also there will be some

01:05 rain and mountain snow in the Pacific

01:07 Northwest. That's the story here.

01:09 But still some lingering moisture

01:10 there into Thursday.

01:11 Another half inch to an inch of rain

01:13 could fall with some snow in the mountains.

01:16 Very windy tomorrow in the Reno,

01:17 Nevada area and also into Wyoming.

01:19 It gusts could be over 50 miles an hour

01:21 up into the Colorado Rockies to some

01:24 rain in San Francisco tomorrow.

01:25 With snow up in the Sierra,

01:27 some travel delays there.

01:29 And as we head into places like Casper,

01:31 Wyoming, yeah, very windy.

01:32 That's where we got the major delays there.
