00:01Mr. Speaker, today's vote really marks an essential step towards fulfilling the promise to the American people
00:10to extend the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, to enshrine, to make sure that our border is secure into law,
00:20and to move forward towards American energy independence.
00:24After enduring years of high inflation, American families and small businesses
00:29urgently need tax relief in order to thrive.
00:34We must pass our budget resolution today to start the budget reconciliation process
00:39and advance the policies that our American families expect from us.
00:45It includes much-needed deficit reduction, as was mentioned earlier,
00:49which will secure a healthy financial future for our children and our grandchildren.
00:55It will allow us to extend the successful tax cuts from the 2017 that produced the unprecedented job growth
01:04and higher wages for American workers.
