00:00Mr. Speaker, Republicans refused to listen.
00:04They refused in February when they spiked my amendments to support Medicaid and SNAP,
00:08and they refused again today.
00:09And this is despite the pleas of Americans protesting Donald Trump and Republicans' plan
00:15to steal their health care and let kids go hungry.
00:19And also, despite the overwhelming majority crying out for everyday Americans over the
00:26whims of billionaires.
00:28Clearly, Republicans don't care about the facts or figures.
00:32So maybe they'll listen to my constituent Al.
00:34Al is a 74-year-old resident of an assisted living facility in East Providence.
00:39He is petrified of Republican cuts that will force him on the street.
00:45Al needs Medicare and Medicaid to make ends meet.
00:48Even with assistance, he lives on $120 a month.
00:52That's $30 a week.
00:54It's not fear-mongering to say that Republican plans would hurt Al to prop up billionaires.
01:00I will be voting no for the middle class, for families, for seniors, and for folks like
01:04Al.
01:05I yield back.
01:06I yield back.
01:07Gentlemen from Pennsylvania, reserves.
01:09Gentlemen from Texas.
01:10I reserve, Mr. Speaker.
01:11Gentlemen from Texas, reserves.
01:12Gentlemen from Pennsylvania, is recognized.
01:15from Texas Reserves, a gentleman from Pennsylvania is recognized.
