00:00Thank you PNA. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Customs seized a parcel containing 7.6 million pesos worth of ecstasy tablets concealed in boxes of food items at the Port of Clark.
00:12The seizure became possible with the help of information from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency or PIDEA recording the incoming shipment.
00:21A canine sniff test conducted by customs examiners and PIDEA operatives yielded positive results for illegal substances, prompting a full physical examination of the parcel.
00:33The inspection revealed seven boxes containing gummy candies and Belgian waffle biscuits, which also concealed over 4,000 tablets suspected to be ecstasy.
00:45BOC Clark District Collector Jairus Reyes said a warrant of seizure and detention was issued against the shipment for violating or for violating the provisions of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
