Somatic therapy is body-based therapy that recognizes the connection between the body and the mind. When we work somatically, we invite the entire body into the process of healing and change.
Everything that we experience throughout our lives registers in our bodies on some level. Every experience we have leaves an imprint on our physical body and our nervous system, and informs the way that we understand ourselves and move through the world. Most of this information lives below the level of consciousness until we learn to bring our attention to it and to the messages that it holds.
In our work together, you will learn practices and tools to connect with the wisdom of your own body. You’ll begin to unwind patterns that have been keeping you stuck. You will learn to open up communication between your body and mind to create real and meaningful change throughout your life, your relationships and with yourself.
