00:00To prevent agricultural products from going to waste and to help reduce post-harvest losses,

00:06President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. convened the officials from the Department of Agriculture,

00:11or DA, to discuss measures that would enhance the sector's efficiency.

00:16One key solution is the establishment of post-harvest facilities to process and distribute farm

00:22produce more effectively, according to DA Secretary Francisco T. Laurel, Jr.

00:28The government plans to build two megafood hubs.

00:31One will be in Clark, Pampanga, serving as a trading center for products from northern

00:35Luzon, while the other will be in Quezon province to accommodate goods from southern Luzon.

00:41These hubs are aimed at improving logistics, reduce wastage, and boost farmers' income

00:46by ensuring better market access for their agricultural products.
