00:07The People United for Life Alliance announced a new demonstration for next Thursday, March 27.

00:14In a communiqué, they announced demonstrators will gather at the Belisario Porras Park,

00:19from where they will march towards the site of the National Assembly

00:23to voice their rejection to the privatisation of Social Security.

00:27The unions say they contemplate several other protest strategies, including a general strike,

00:33despite having been met so far with harsh police repression,

00:38with many demonstrators having been beaten and arrested.
