00:00We have some breaking news that's coming in and what seems to be a wake-up call for the
00:04India bloc.
00:05Kapil Sibal, RSMP has offered advice to India bloc saying that India must appear to be bloc
00:11not unbloc.
00:12That is what Rajasabha MP Kapil Sibal has said about India bloc saying that India must
00:16appear to be bloc not unbloc.
00:19He's also said India parties must have cohesive policies and has also said that India must
00:24have an ideological framework.
00:26Sibal has exuded confidence about the opposition's future.
00:32So Kapil Sibal while speaking about the India bloc has said that India parties need to have
00:36a cohesive policy, a cohesive ideological framework and a cohesive program for the future.
00:41He's also gone on to say that he's not talking about the state level or the national level
00:45there has to be a cohesiveness in the way in which India bloc thinks on issues that
00:50are of great national importance and unless that mechanism is put in place and unless
00:55there are spokespersons of the bloc who represent the views of the India bloc he doesn't think
00:59that India bloc can move forward very effectively.
01:02So big statement there coming in from the Rajasabha MP on the India bloc and its general
01:07cohesiveness saying that India bloc needs to bloc and not unbloc.
01:12When he talks about the future he's saying that unless India bloc is cohesive there is
01:17no future.
01:18My colleague Ashutosh Mishra is joining me on the broadcast with more details.
01:22Ashutosh, a point in comment there by Kapil Sibal who's not only commented on the cohesiveness
01:27of India bloc but also has alluded to a need for possibly a spokesperson saying that the
01:31alliance needs a face.
01:38Technically what he says that the India bloc needs a representative because at large if
01:42you see the parties the stakeholders India bloc have their individual representatives
01:47not as an alliance soul and this is not the first person to say that if I remember just
01:51a week ago when I interviewed the CPI General Secretary D. Raja he also said the same thing
01:56that since after the Lok Sabha election there has not been a single meeting of the India
02:00bloc and clearly there why their apprehensions are being raised the several leaders also
02:05at extent saying the India bloc was perhaps for only the Lok Sabha elections and after
02:10the 2020-24 general elections the India bloc has literally diminished and that's why the
02:15leaders the stakeholders of India bloc says that you need to come together let there be
02:20a bloc if the India bloc exists and also they have a representative what it means that
02:26simply during the elections or even without election when you go with an agenda there
02:30should be a similar voice and one voice coming from all the opposition parties under the
02:35umbrella bloc because in different elections including the recent Delhi we have seen concluded
02:39that how the India bloc partners Congress and Aam Aadmi Party were arch rival contested
02:43against each other the same case is going to be in West Bengal and the state of Kerala
02:48so clearly when you see the conflict within the India bloc partners are not unanimously
02:54because looking at the caste you know the political dynamics of different states so
02:58largely leader says if you have to contest against the BJP there should be one voice
03:03there should be unanimous voice and if there is an India bloc that exists it need to be
03:07seen together and that's why they need a representative who speak on common agenda right Ashutosh
03:12thanks for bringing in that perspective on the story that is what Kapil Sibal has said
03:15that India bloc needs to have a cohesive policy and a cohesive ideological framework
03:19when it comes to competing in national politics
