00:00Kelantan police say many social media influencers and product founders in Kelantan have been

00:07found to be involved in drug distribution and money laundering activities.

00:12Kelantan Police Chief Yusof Mamat said previous arrests had shown that most of them used their

00:17businesses to conceal criminal activities, Berita Harian reported.

00:23Yusof said in 2020, a product founder was arrested with RM5 million worth of drugs using

00:29their business as a cover for illegal activities.

00:33He said the second case, in 2021, involved the arrest of a cosmetic entrepreneur with

00:38a DATIN title who was involved in drug distribution.

00:43The third case relates to a drug syndicate controlled by a businessman in Kelantan who

00:48laundered money through businesses and used other individuals to mislead the authorities,

00:53Yusof said.

00:55He warned product founders, entrepreneurs and influencers that strict action would be

01:00taken if they were found to be involved in drug activities.
