Queen Caroline is a very special offering and we're honored to have the opportunity
00:21
to sell her in the 2023 NIDA Star Sale.
00:24
You know, she's 10 years old.
00:26
She's a dam of a champion in her first foal with Forte.
00:30
She's also proven to be a mare that can produce a top sales yearling.
00:34
Her second foal bought $850,000, so it's kind of the complete package that you're looking
00:39
for in terms of a commercial broodmare.
00:43
Queen Caroline is a really pretty bling.
00:47
She's 16, 1 1⁄2 inches.
00:50
She's a really classy, strong, built, and I think that attribute got to the foal because
00:57
he doesn't want to get beat.
00:59
Anybody that's followed his race career, he's going to be trying at the end.
01:04
How he won the Jim Dandy, you know, that was just pure grit.
01:09
Angel of Empire, Saudi Crown, Forte, here's the line, photo finish.
01:14
Forte was very special from the very beginning.
01:18
He's just an exceptional colt, enormous talent, tactical speed, ability to stretch out, pretty
01:26
much everything you're looking for in a racehorse.
01:28
Well, the story of Forte and the story of Queen Caroline is really remarkable.
01:35
Amy Moore's first purchase as a yearling was Queen Caroline.
01:39
She made over $400,000, and the first foal that she has is Forte.
01:44
So it's just a storybook story, and I think she's going to have a really happy ending.
01:50
Amy Moore is a small breeder, and she has a commercial operation.
01:56
The mares become too valuable to have on her little farm in Virginia.
02:00
You know, it pays away for her to be able to buy a few more mares and keep it going.
02:05
One of the things that's really exciting about Queen Caroline is her pedigree.
02:09
She's by blame, who's emerging as one of the best broodmare sires in the world.
02:13
You've got Seattle Slew in the pedigree, and you've also got one of the most exciting Japanese
02:18
horses in many, many years, Contrail, active in the pedigree as well.
02:23
Every year she's been bred, she's been bred one time except the second year when she had
02:28
the Uncle Mo, she was bred two times that year.
02:31
And I'm confident that she's good to go and going to have a lot of foals right in a row
02:37
because she's fertile and she's young.
02:39
You know, it's really an honor and it's really exciting for us at Fasig-Tipton to have a
02:43
mare like Queen Caroline in foal to flight line.
02:46
She's in foal very, very early, on her February 24th cover date.
02:49
She'll be one of the first mares offered in foal to flight line, and the potential that
02:53
he possesses as a stallion is really enormous.
02:56
Obviously, he's a very special horse to everybody in the industry.
03:00
Here's the potential.
03:01
You've got to spend a lot of money to buy the mare.
03:04
You know, for a commercial breeder, those fillies are really going to be in demand all
03:08
her life.
03:09
And because she's produced a stallion, all foals out of her are going to be worth a lot
03:13
of money.
03:14
Oh, I think anybody in the world could buy Queen Caroline.
03:16
I mean, I literally think I would be hesitant to predict who the buyer be or where they'll
03:22
be from.
03:23
She has truly international appeal.
03:25
I mean, I can't imagine anybody not wanting to add Queen Caroline to their broodmare band.
