00:00Saffron Beach, yeah look she's an outstanding filly, first crop of New Bay who is looking

00:20very very exciting, captured everybody's imagination from the word go.

00:24Just how she looked, she's a great advertisement also for the training regime of Jane Chappell-Hyams.

00:30Oh well it was while COVID was on I received a call from Ben Sankster asking to come down

00:37and see her, so we had to wait till after Royal Ascot and all the restrictions were

00:43lifted about five days after the meeting.

00:46So I went down and viewed her, loved her and then we organised to bring her back up the

00:52next week.

00:53She's just gone from strength to strength but in a funny kind of way her first two runs

00:58showed a lot, when she won her maiden and then two weeks later she backed up for the

01:03oh so sharp and when Adam Kirby got off her we knew there and then because he said she

01:09felt like a special filly.

01:11She did really well in the Nell Gwynn and then we used that as a stepping stone, she

01:16was probably only 85% fit and then waited another two weeks and then ran in the guineas

01:22so that was a highlight and then since then she's picked up group ones whether it be at

01:28Newmarket or over in Deauville and she's just proved a tough consistent filly.

01:35We've had the Royal Ascot Duke of Cambridgeshire and that was group two and then we've also

01:41picked up a Sun Chariot at Newmarket group one and the Prieta Rothschild at Deauville

01:46group one so you know she's thrived and done well in all those top races.

01:53She's a fine flagship for the Tattlesells December foal sale and to see her return as

01:58a four year old and to be one of the stars of the inaugural scepter sessions at the Tattlesells

02:02December breeding stock sale is yeah there's symmetry there as well so yeah it's a great

02:08story.

02:09She's got all the attributes that breeders from throughout the world will be looking for

02:13and look she can race on as well she's a very very good race filly and whoever ends up as

02:21the proud new owners they can decide which direction to take her from here.

02:26She's been sold as a horse in training as you can see and hopefully the lucky purchaser

02:32might enjoy having a trip to Hong Kong.

02:35She's in the four million US Hong Kong mile and we've accepted the invitation and so it'd

02:42be a lovely swan song.

02:45So then it will be up to the new purchasers if they would like her to run in their colours

02:50and we do some quick paperwork but we're all set with our visas at this end and then we'll

02:58just roll the dice and see what the new purchaser would like to do.

03:03She's feisty but she's a nice feisty mare she's got a kind side to her she's a very

03:11good doer and you know it's going to be hard when she goes because she's in box one and

03:17so for a couple of years seeing her every morning but hopefully she'll have a nice career

03:24at stud and get some top stallions.

03:28Well everyone's been you know thrilled that what she's done throughout the last couple

03:32of years so I'm sure they'll all miss cheering her on but yeah it's been it's been a nice

03:38few years we're lucky enough to keep her on as a four-year-old and she didn't pack

03:43her bags and go off to stud at the end of her three-year-old career so especially the

03:48last month we've been enjoying seeing her every day.

03:52The connections of Saffron Beach they've been in the game for a long time they're deeply

03:57knowledgeable and enthusiastic so it's great to see them with such a fantastic filly on

04:01their hands and they'll be very well rewarded I'm sure.
