00:00Well, as I say, she was always a great physical, you know, big filly, lovely big long stride

00:17on her.

00:18So she was always going to get, as she got stronger, she was always going to get better.

00:22And you know, we just brought her along steadily.

00:24And she won, I think, first time out as a three-year-old as well.

00:29And then just went from there, you know, but she was, I always felt she had the potential

00:33to be at least a listed class horse.

00:36And obviously she progressed beyond that.

00:38She was already a very smart filly.

00:39She won the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks, beating subsequent Group 1 winners, Seasilk Road,

00:45impressively.

00:46So she was very smart, even before the fantastic update in the Group 1 champions, fillies and

00:50mares at Ascot, which are what a way to sign off for her current connections, owned and

00:55bred by the Blunts, trained by Karl Burke.

00:59Lancashire Oaks was a great win, Group 2, and she performed really well there.

01:06And then we stepped her up into Group 1 class.

01:10We ran her in the Yorkshire Oaks last year, and although she finished last behind some

01:16Art Prescott's Art winner, she was only beating 10 lengths and, you know, she was heavily

01:20eased.

01:21And that gave me a lot of confidence to think that we could sort of breach the gap.

01:25I think it was to her advantage that they switched onto the inner track.

01:29We were lucky there for two reasons.

01:32One, it was slightly better ground, you know, she handles soft ground, but I think she's

01:37better on a firmer surface or a quicker surface.

01:40And also the drop back, it was half a furlong then shorter in trip.

01:45So it meant, you know, she's quite a keen, free going filly.

01:48It meant we could be a bit more aggressive with her in the race.

01:52She's a very smart filly.

01:53By Nathaniel, who, as we know, is a top class proven sire, sire of the greater Naples.

01:59So he does a great job with his fillies, and he's a very good broodmare sire too.

02:02She's got a lot going for her.

02:04And the great thing is she's got plenty of speed in her family as well.

02:07She's out of a Dreamerhead mare called Alpine Dream, and her Grand Dame is Infamous Angel,

02:12who won the Group 2 Lowther Stakes.

02:13So yeah, plenty of speed to go with the Nathaniel influence as well.

02:17For David and Ivana, I think it was, they were in shock for a week after, I think, after

02:21winning a Group 1.

02:22And having bred her as well, it's pretty special.

02:25I've never, we've never really ventured into, very loosely into the breeding game, but everybody

02:31tells me, the owner breeders that we have, that there's nothing better than breeding

02:35your own winner and seeing it win in your colours.

02:38And to win a Group 1 and breed a Group 1 winner is pretty special.

02:41Kelly, my daughter, she rides Poptronic out nearly every day.

02:46And I think she's done that from a two-year-old career.

02:49So it was great, great for Kelly as well, and fantastic for the yard.

02:52We've been lucky enough to sell a few nice mares, quite Reflection Springs to mind, Auderleys

02:58at the Tats December sale.

03:00Obviously the Scepter section wasn't around then, but the whole theatre of selling a big

03:07mare at Tata Souls is, I say to David and Ivana, you know, it'll be as nerve-wracking

03:13and as exciting at the same time as winning a Group 1.

03:17You know, the whole sale day is superb, the build-up to it.

03:22So I think they're looking forward to that, and although they'll be very sorry if she

03:26does go in some ways, it's obviously a great, great pleasure to have those type of horses

03:31to go to that sale.
