00:00Senate President Francis Escudero sees no problem with Senator Aimee Marquez's plan to investigate the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte

00:09by virtue of a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court or ICC.

00:14However, the Senate President Escudero wants to make sure first that the probe can actually help unite the Filipino people and not further sow divisiveness.

00:25Senator Marquez asked to invite officials of the government for the investigation and plans to begin the investigation on March 20.

00:33For their part, Malacanang says they respect the lawmakers' plan regarding the said matter.
