One of three Big Bear eaglets dies after snowstorm

One of the three eaglets belonging to Big Bear bald eagles, Jackie and Shadow, died after last week's snowstorm, the nonprofit confirmed on March 15.

00:11faced a brutal storm last week with up to 2 feet of snow and 100 mph winds.

00:16Fans first noticed the eaglet missing as Jackie huddled in the nest, shielding her chicks.

00:22As the snow melted, the non-profit Friends of Big Bear Valley confirmed its death,

00:26though the cause is unclear.

00:28The remaining two eaglets, however, are doing well under Jackie's care.
