00:07The strong north-east monsoon or cold wind is still continuing here in a large part of Luzon

00:14which will bring a part of a decrease in temperature and light to moderate rains.

00:18While the easterly or the wind from the Pacific Ocean will still bring hot weather

00:23in many areas of southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao

00:26will still be accompanied by heavy rains and thunderstorms.

00:31Based on our latest satellite animation,

00:33we still cannot see a possible storm or low-pressure area until the end of this week.

00:41Today, the chance of rain is still the highest here in a large part of northern Luzon

00:46due to the north-east monsoon.

00:48Expect mild to moderate rains in Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela,

00:53Pababa here in Aurora.

00:55Expect gloomy weather and a decrease in temperature.

00:59Also, be careful of landslides in areas in the mountains.

01:03Meanwhile, before noon, there is a chance of rain in some areas of Cagayan Valley

01:09here in the northern portion of the Cordillera region

01:11and a part of Cabiculan due to the easterlies.

01:15The part of Luzon here is part of the clouds

01:17until sometimes the sky is still cloudy

01:19and it will still be accompanied by light rain

01:22if only here in the areas of Ilocos region and some parts of central Luzon

01:26while there are areas with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms

01:29in the afternoon until night here in Quezon and some parts of Mimaropa.

01:34Our temperature in Metro Manila is still possible to rise to 33 degrees

01:38by the end of the afternoon while in Baguio City, from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius.

01:44For our fellow citizens in Palawan,

01:46expect partly cloudy and mostly cloudy skies by the end of the afternoon

01:51and there are areas where it will rain even if only for a short time

01:54while in Visayas, due to the easterlies, there is a high chance of rain

01:58here in Leyte and Southern Leyte.

02:00Sometimes, there will be heavy rain showers

02:02so be careful of landslides and landslides.

02:05For the rest of Visayas, expect rain showers

02:08with only light rain showers before noon here in Northern Negros and Panay Island

03:22These two places are at a dangerous level of heat index yesterday.

03:26It was followed by 41 degrees in Camarines Sur and 40 degrees in Cuyo, Palawan

03:31and the cities of Legazpi, Masbate, Iloilo, Davao, Cotabato and Butuan City.

03:38While in Metro Manila yesterday, the heat index was 38 degrees Celsius

03:42in the afternoon.

03:44For our forecast heat index today, Monday,

03:48for Metro Manila, it is still possible to rise to 38 degrees

03:51sometime from 10am to 3pm.

03:54While 41 degrees or the highest heat index is possible to be recorded

03:58in Coron, Palawan, Puerto Princesa in Palawan,

04:01Cat, Balogan, Samar and Giwan, Eastern Samar.

04:04It is followed by 40 degrees in Manover, Viracat and Duanes,

04:07Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental and in Maybutuan City.

04:11So, a reminder to our fellow countrymen,

04:13drink plenty of water as much as possible

04:16and if you are going out, make sure you are protected.

04:19Bring an umbrella or an umbrella and wear comfortable clothing.

05:12And for our 4-day weather forecast,

05:14Tuesday, March 18,

05:16it is expected to have light to moderate rains in Cagayan Valley,

05:19in the area of Apayaw, Aurora, and Quezon.

05:22It is up to the Northeast monsoon.

05:25And there are high chances of rain tomorrow.

05:27Here in the eastern Visayas,

05:29Caraga Region, and southern portion of Bicol Region,

05:32there are high chances of rain.

05:34So, be careful of flooding and bring an umbrella

05:37if you are going out of the house.

05:38Other areas,

05:39only isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,

05:41especially in the western sides of Visayas and Mindanao.

05:46Wednesday until Friday,

05:48the monsoon will continue.

05:50It is expected to have light to moderate rains in Cagayan Valley,

05:53Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Provinces

05:56because of the monsoon.

05:57And it is expected to have high chances of rain

06:00in Visayas,

06:01portions of Bicol Region,

06:03here in the southern part,

06:04and in Mimaropa,

06:05especially in Palawan and Doromblon.

06:07It is the effect of the shear line,

06:09or the bangaan,

06:10of the monsoon and Easter lease.

06:12And because of the strong Easter lease,

06:14the chances of rain in Mindanao

06:16will also be high

06:17when Wednesday until Friday,

06:19especially in Caraga and Davao Region.

06:21So, be careful of flooding

06:22and always stay tuned for our updates.

06:25This is our North-East Monsoon.

06:26It is possible that this will be the last monsoon of the year

06:29before the start of a warm, dry season.

06:33But when March ends,

06:35until April,

06:36it is possible that we will have a North-East wind flow

06:39or the wind from the north.

06:42when Wednesday until Friday,
