00:02Florida gets the win in Toronto over to Leafs,

00:06and the Leafs went into this game

00:07only two points back of Florida

00:09for that Atlantic Division lead,

00:10and now Florida extend, extend, extend.

00:14They have a four-point lead now in the division,

00:16three-two win for them.

00:18So Toronto's, listen, we know the deal with them.

00:21You know, it's tough for them to beat these teams.

00:23The Tampas and the Floridas,

00:24they have a big, very hard time with them,

00:26and that's who they're gonna have to beat

00:28in the first couple rounds of the playoffs.

00:30So not going to be easy for the Maple Leafs.

00:32Once again, last night, not good there.

00:34As far as Ottawa goes, six-three victory for them.

00:39They extend themselves.

00:40So we're starting to see Ottawa separate a little bit

00:45in terms of that Eastern Conference wildcard race.

00:48You get Ottawa now up to 75 points.

00:52That's five clear of Columbus, who's in the second spot,

00:55five clear of the Rangers, who are the first team out.

00:58So a little bit of breathing room for Ottawa now,

01:01coming down the stretch.

01:02And when you look at their playoff number,

01:04gone to minus 1,800.

01:07So the books are telling you,

01:09they think that Ottawa is good as gold

01:12to get into the playoffs right now

01:14in the Eastern Conference.

01:15Speaking of Tampa, they lost in Philly to the Flyers,

01:18four-three in a shootout last night.

01:21So only one point for Tampa.

01:23They're still kind of right by, you know,

01:25Tampa's got four points up on Ottawa.

01:28And they got the same amount of games played,

01:30and they're two points back at Toronto.

01:32So Tampa could still get into that two slot,

01:36but the odds of it being Toronto and Tampa once again

01:39in the first round, as we come down with about

01:43really 15 to 17 games left

01:46for just about everybody in the league.

01:47They're all in that area, coming down the stretch.

01:50Penguins beat the Blues last night.

01:52That hurt the Blues,

01:53because when you go look at the Western Conference

01:54playoff race, the Blues are sitting

01:57two points back of Calgary.

01:59Calgary with 71, Vancouver with 71,

02:03Utah with 69, St. Louis with 69.

02:07So St. Louis, they have plus 630.

02:10You know, St. Louis is two points back.

02:13And they are only, you know,

02:16they're plus 630 to make the playoffs,

02:18but they have two more games played.

02:19See, that's why they got the 630 on there.

02:22St. Louis has played 66 games already,

02:25whereas Calgary's sitting at 64, Vancouver 65.

02:28So that's what gets St. Louis in a little bit of trouble.

02:30They think Vancouver's gonna come out at plus 120

02:32for Vancouver, plus 182 for Calgary,

02:35plus 350 for Utah, plus 630 for St. Louis.

02:39So of those four teams for one spot,

02:42St. Louis is the trailer right now on the odds board

02:45as it comes to getting into the playoffs.

02:47Vegas, four nothing win over Columbus.

02:50Columbus, as we said, still has that second spot.

02:53Vegas now six points clear of LA.

02:56Edmonton has slipped to third in the Pacific.

02:59So nice job by the Knights.

03:00Looks like they're gonna try to run away

03:02and hide there in that Pacific and get themselves a win.

03:04Oilers did lose in Jersey to the Devils, three-two.

03:07We said last week, maybe we take a shot

03:09with the Devils to miss the playoffs at a really big number.

03:14They've gotten a couple of wins here,

03:15and now have gotten eight points clear

03:18of Columbus and the Rangers,

03:19the two teams that would have to pass them

03:21in order for us to get that to happen.

03:23So that's a ticket that's in a lot of trouble here

03:25only a week after we put it into the till.

03:28But we were taking a good shot there.

03:29That was a big plus money ticket for the Devils to miss.

03:32Rangers beat Minnesota three-two in overtime.

03:35So two big points for the Rangers in St. Paul.

03:38The Kings beat the Capitals three nothing late last night.

03:41Caps are kind of in cruise control right now.

03:44They got a 12-point lead on Carolina for the Metro.

03:47They've got a nine-point lead on Florida

03:51for the first best team in the East.

03:54Winnipeg's even with them for the President's Trophy,

03:56but honestly, nobody wants the President's Trophy.

03:58It's a curse.

03:59It's not a gift.

04:00You win the President's Trophy,

04:02usually you don't win the Cup.

04:04So I'm sure Washington would just fine

04:06not getting themselves that.

04:08And in the battle of two worst teams in the NHL last night,

04:13the Blackhawks and the Sharks

04:15finished with a four-two win for San Jose,

04:18and they couldn't get me the over.

04:19I had the over yesterday.

04:21We talked about that on Coast to Coast.

04:22Two bad teams, lots of goals,

04:24and they were not able to come through for us in that spot.
