The kids at Team Pumpkin Amateur Boxing Club have created an impressive mural for the wall of the club.

00:00Okay, well this is a mural project that I was approached to get involved with,

00:07with funding from HM Government and West Midlands Combined Authority to work with

00:13the young boxers in pumpkin boxing and create this work of art. And we did a

00:19series of workshops to get some ideas together, pull them together. We did a

00:24day trip to Digbeth to have a look at all the street art and then we pulled

00:28all these ideas together and we put it onto the mural. And it started off with

00:34a one workshop where we were literally throwing paint at the wall with rags

00:38weren't we? Yeah. Which was a lot of fun. Messy though. Messy. And then Ellie here worked

00:45on the project all the way through, continuously. She was the sucker for

00:49punishment and Ellie is in the mural here on the right-hand side in red

00:53aren't you? Yeah. It was really good to work with. How annoying was I? Not really. Was it good fun? Yeah.

01:01It was a lot of fun and it was it was nice because the project evolved over

01:06time and the initial ideas that we set in the beginning they changed and that's

01:11what's nice about projects like this is you allow them to evolve and it never

01:16ceases to amaze me what comes out in the end.
