00:00It was his 100th game on Saturday at QPR. It's a big milestone for any player to hit at this club, isn't it?

00:06What's it been like working with him? How much have you enjoyed that?

00:09Yeah, we've been through a couple of difficult periods. I think there was a period last year where it was pretty difficult

00:15and around January there was a lot of speculation regarding his future but he's got his head on.

00:20I thought he was outstanding from the first day he came back to pre-season.

00:24He had to get his head down and get on with getting in the side first and foremost

00:28and his performance at Preston was outstanding and he's been consistently very good all season.

00:38His attitude is good. He's a popular boy amongst the players. He gives everything.

00:44We're always pushing him to be better but there's been a lot of interest in him and I'm okay with that.

00:54There's a lot of interest in him because he's been putting some top performances in

00:58and hopefully he's one that we can really lean on in the last quarter of the season.

01:05We all need to put top performances in but when he's at his best, he's one of the best in the division.

01:11I know you're one for medium-long-term planning as well, obviously.

01:14His contract's up probably the next batch after Jack and Rhian.

01:18Is that something you'll be looking to address soon with him?

01:21Yes, definitely. It's always got to be from their point of view if they want to buy into what we're about as well.

01:28Of course, you want to build. It's something I've talked about.

01:32I still talk about it. I'm still seven or eight months into a build.

01:37You want to keep your best players. I don't want to lose any players.

01:40If we do, they have to be the right price.

01:44I don't want to stop players going into that big league

01:47but I like to think that if we are successful this year,

01:50then we can realise all those ambitious young players that we've got,

01:56their dreams of playing.

01:59There's work to be done, as we know, but Anel's definitely on the agenda

02:04and hopefully there'll be a positive outcome to the talks between Anel, his agent, and us.
