00:00How important do you think it is to do well in GCSEs?

00:04Well I think it's, I didn't actually need my GCSEs but don't go on me because I'm a one-off.

00:11I come out with no GCSEs but don't look at me and think that's the way you need to go

00:16because I ended up doing well at sports and are involved in sports.

00:21But I really wish that I tried harder at school and got my GCSEs

00:25because after that if you come out with a good GCSEs you can go out and work

00:30and get better jobs and earn more money for your family.

00:33So of course it's better to be educated and finish well with your GCSEs.

00:40I think GCSEs are important, education is important and of course we all want to do well in those avenues.

00:45But I also think it's important not to get too hung up on the results you get

00:49because there are many different avenues in life.

00:51you might be more creative, you might be more hands-on.

00:54So I wouldn't worry too much if you don't get the results you want

00:57but equally education is important.

01:01Yeah because if you've got really good grades like A's, A's stars,

01:06some businesses might listen and then you could get good options in the future.

01:13And have you got any GCSEs?

01:16Yeah I've got two. One in further than maths and one in higher maths.

01:22And how old are you?

01:23Eleven. I'm eleven.

01:26I think so yeah but there's always a lot of time afterwards isn't there?

01:29Some people are better when they get into their early twenties.

01:32I know I didn't do that well when I was at school but then I seem to get better with academic work afterwards.

01:39It's always a help.

01:41I don't think it really matters on how well you do at least you try your best.

01:47I think that's all that's important.

01:48I don't think people should just go based on the numbers that you get from the exam.

01:53I think they should just go based on how well they have done.

01:57If you get like a grade three or a grade two they should just be like at least they tried and they tried to do as best as they can.

02:06That's all that matters.

02:07So I don't really think they should be that important to be fair.
