Latest on Preston's Tram Bridge rebuild

00:00Work is very much on track at Preston's new tram bridge. Pier 2 has been completed.
00:07The 8 metre high pier, as you can see, just coming up there in the video,
00:13was started in the middle of September and involved the excavation 2 metres deep below the riverbed.
00:2030 cubic metres of high-strength reinforced concrete for foundation were poured in.
00:26Now, as you'll be able to see in just a second, all of the scaffolding has now come down
00:32and construction of the other remaining piers will resume in the spring.
00:37And then it will be ready for the bridge to be lowered into place in the autumn.
