00:00Senate President Francis Chief Escudero confirmed that the Senate is preparing for the impeachment trial against Vice President Sardo-Terde

00:07despite being in recess. Escudero stated that since the impeachment complaint has already been filed,

00:12it is certain that an impeachment trial will take place and the Senate must be ready for it.

00:17However, he clarified that the impeachment trial cannot begin until the 20th Congress

00:22officially opens and the 12 newly elected senators assumes the office.
