00:00I think playoffs have felt like a stretch for some time, Rich.

00:05I think now they're beginning to feel like a pipe dream,

00:08and fans are right to be frustrated.

00:11Fans pay good money to support their team.

00:14The team, as we've discussed before,

00:16it is at the heartbeat of the town in a way

00:19that a lot of clubs aren't.

00:20It is central to the community.

00:23When the team does well, the town tends to do well,

00:26and vice versa.

00:27As I said, supporters are paying more for their season ticket

00:30than they have done in previous years.

00:32In the last 17 seasons, Rich, Pools

00:34have finished in the top half three times.

00:37Two of those were 12th place finishes.

00:39That is simply not good enough.

00:42For a club of Hartlepool United's size,

00:44we know the National League is a competitive league.

00:46We know it's an extremely difficult league to get out of.

00:50Pools simply have to be doing better.

00:52For 95% of their history, Pools have been a football league.

00:57They have potential.

00:58They have a big fan base,

01:00and they are just not living up to it at the moment.
