00:16Before, Jarlene had to go through a lot of work to renew her business permit.

00:21Now, she's just a quick line in the Business Permits and Licenses Division here in Iligan City Hall.

00:27For me, it's okay. I'm used to the process. There's nothing to worry about.

00:32That fast process of obtaining a business permit

00:35is a sign of the local government's support for the Anti-Red Tape Authority

00:39to speed up the transaction with government officials.

00:42And because the process was simplified,

00:44the number of business permit holders increased significantly.

00:48In fact, it has increased to almost a thousand in just two months of the year.

00:53I am a loyal member of ARTA.

00:56I am the one who contributed to the increase in the number of business permits issued this year.

01:03In fact, as of today, we have issued 8,825 business permits.

01:11ARTA was the first to issue the electronic business one-stop shop

01:15or E-Boss Certificate of Commendation

01:17because of the digitalization of the process of applying and renewing the business permit.

01:22This is in accordance with the Directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

01:26that instead of red tape, the agency should use red carpet

01:30to spread the government's guidance to the new Philippines.
