00:03 Plans to build a new £1.6 million new police station in Derbyshire have been approved and work is set to start next month.

00:11 Police and Crime Commissioner Angelique Foster has given the go-ahead for the new police station in Killermarsh,

00:17 which will be built on the site of the current station where the Safer Neighbourhood team is based.

00:22 Building works are pencilled to start in April for the £1.6 million project, which will see a modern purpose-built station created.

00:29 While building works are underway to demolish the current building and construct a new one,

00:33 officers will be temporarily relocated to Staveley and Dromfield.
