One of the first things you encounter in England are the long, chaotic lines at Heathrow airport.

Last year, as I ventured on a visit to the UK post pandemic, it was an an almost three hour long wait at immigration. As I grumbled about it, a close friend who had flown to London to drop her daughter off to college, had a much worse experience. They waited in line for five hours.

00:00So, Great Britain is not so great anymore. And why is that? Well, as someone who's grown
00:09up in the UK, I've been to school there and I keep visiting quite frequently, you can
00:13see the very stark decline or decay of the country, particularly after Brexit and after
00:18the pandemic. Of course, it's facing an acute economic crisis and a cost of living crisis
00:23where people are literally having to ration how much heating they're going to use in the
00:27dead of winter. Perhaps most stark of all is the collapse of the healthcare system,
00:33the famed NHS, which has now become infamous for long delays where patients have to wait
00:38often for up to one year to get basic essential treatment or screenings or even cancer care,
00:45which has been delayed in many cases because people just can't get appointments. As I wrote
00:49this piece, junior doctors who are part of the NHS had gone on their fifth strike in
00:53recent times over a payment dispute. It's not just doctors, you have teachers that have
00:58been on strike over poor pay. Transport workers have been on strike repeatedly now for the
01:03last year or so, so much so that newspapers are printing schedules of which routes are
01:08going to go on strike so that people can actually plan their lives accordingly. After Brexit,
01:13there's also a very acute crisis in the services sector. And you can see that across the board.
01:18So what will it take to make Britain great again? Tell us your suggestions.
